Edinburgh

We caught the bus into the city and walked through the park to the Scott Monument, a huge structure dedicated to Sir Walter Scott. We walked all the way up the stone steps inside to the top (285 steps to the top, and then have to come back down).

Awesome view though, and all that excercise meant we could have a great morning tea.

Then it was back to walking. We walked up the Royal Mile, the old street leading up to Edinburgh Castle, (we just looked at the outside), and back down again. Stopped for lunch, and then walked to Hollyrood Palace and up another monster hill to the bus stop. In total, must have walked 8 kms today. So glad to take the shoes off tonight.
