Stirling Castle

Stirling Castle was amazing. It stands out on the hill, a cream building amongst grey stone. It is one of the best restored castles in the UK, and well worth the visit. Our weather too has been amazing. It poured last night and the sky was still grey this morning, but we did not have any rain until we were leaving the castle. How good was that.

Matthew even got a history lesson about the castle and the royals who occupied it from one of the guides. Very informative.

After visiting the castle, we took a drive around town and visited the Stirling Bridge, the scene of the battle between Scotland and England whereby William Wallace's army defeated the british.
