The Coast

We left Rouen and headed north to the coastal towns. After a 90 minute drive, we reached Fecamp and found somewhere to park to explore the town. We walked to the Benedictine Palace (where they make Benedictine liqueur), down past the ruins of an old castle, churches, abbeys and finally over the bridge and back to the motor home.

A drive to the lookout, and then it was off to Yport (where I read they sold Benedictine flavoured icecream).

Yport is only about a 20 minute drive along the coast, where we walked down to the beach, and finally saw the pebbled beaches I'd spent so long reading about, and the little changing rooms on the beach. Incredible. (but I didn't find the icecream!!!)

Next stop was Etretat where we stayed for 2 nights, relaxed, walked along the beach and went out for tea.

Matthew and I found an awesome icecream shop. He had 2 scoops of chocolat menth (choc mint), and I had 1 rose and 1 blueberry. Yummo.
